Brell Thorin-Pry is a Halfling in his seventies who keeps the Frost-and-Marrow, a scribe's tavern in the lower Quill District where copyists drink off the ink-stain and Inkward Custodians are not welcome. He is slow and sweet, calls everyone 'duck,' and is a good deal sharper than he lets on.

He knew Vessa's mother and still calls Vessa 'the girl.' The tavern is the party's safe anchor in Aurenhold; Brell will warn the back room of new arrivals and trade a warning for a good story.
