Jory
Seraine's Brother
Seraine's brother and fellow pilgrim, caught dangling from a fraying rope when the bridge breaks. Quieter and more fatalistic than his sister, he needs rescuing early and remembers keenly who reached for him and who did not.
Description
Jory travels the Spires alongside his sister Seraine, bound to the same caravan and the same fragile hope. When the storm tears the lead bridge apart, he is left swinging over the abyss from a rope already beginning to fray.
Where Seraine meets fear with hope, Jory meets it with grim resignation, though a rescuer's hand can rekindle something in him. He is loyal to those who prove themselves, and slow to forgive those who weigh his life against their own.
Adventurers who save him gain a quiet, watchful ally for the road ahead, one who notices far more about the monastery and its 'guests' than he tends to say aloud.
