Keeper Riah Tellen

Messenger of the Vigil

Quest Giver

The keeper of Vigil customs who sent word begging for capable help, and who greets the party with the grim arithmetic of the season: people are disappearing, and no one else is willing to brave the storm. She grounds newcomers in Thirasil's traditions and makes the stakes plain, unsure herself whether the threat is a spirit or a deception.

Description

Keeper Riah Tellen is the one who called for help, dispatching a plea into the storm when the disappearances near Frostglen Rest grew too many to dismiss. She meets the party with weary urgency, explaining the Snow-Vigil's customs of enforced quiet and shuttered travel, and why breaking that stillness to hunt matters so much. Frostglen was meant to be a place of rest, she says; now it is a place of fear.

She is honest about the limits of her own knowledge. She does not know whether what walks the ridge is a true winter spirit or some cruel deception, and she admits as much freely. Either way, she tells the party, lives are at risk, and they are the only ones willing to go out into the storm. She provides the initial grounding, the stakes, and the moral weight that sets the hunt in motion.
