Description
Rulfen Marr haunts the Old Gravenreach Timberway like a man returning to a grave he helped dig. He knows every winch, rail, and glider frame, because he designed many of them, and he reads the ruin the way others read a book. When he speaks he stays technical and careful, pointing to stress fractures and rotation scars rather than making accusations.
He will tell trustworthy travelers that parts of the Timberway were quietly repaired, that someone rebuilt glider frames from his old designs, and that during the last Vigil the rails vibrated under an immense, impossible weight. These rails were never meant to carry a thing like that, he says, but they could. Follow the rails as far as they go, he warns, and when they stop, the truth keeps walking.
