Shira, the White Wolf
Spirit-Touched Guide
A great white wolf, spirit-touched companion to Fu Lan Chi, who appears before her mystic does and studies visitors in silence. She speaks through no words, only body language: calm focus for the right path, agitation and refusal for the wrong one. She tracks the cold that walks the ridge and warns those who show the Vigil respect.
Description
Shira, the White Wolf, is nearly invisible against the snow until she moves, and she tends to reveal herself to travelers before Fu Lan Chi does. She watches newcomers carefully and cannot be rushed; earn her trust with stillness, a food offering, and respect for the Vigil, and she becomes a guide without words.
She answers questions no one has spoken aloud. She growls low at ropes, harnesses, and anything to do with glider-rigging. She avoids looking toward Frostglen Rest, paces toward paths that lead downward and away, and scratches at tunnels that run toward the chasm. When the party's reasoning is sound she settles into calm focus; when it strays she grows agitated and blocks the way. When danger is near, she paces, bristles, and will not be still.
