As resonance tore itself apart, particulate remnants condensed in the upper atmosphere and in areas of the land. These crystalline fragments, later called griefglass, fell across the world in shimmering sheets and were exposed as they jutted from the land.

Griefglass altered air, light, and memory itself. Prolonged exposure changed ecosystems, warped perception, and embedded emotional resonance into the land.

Though most deposits have weathered or been buried, griefglass artifacts and contamination zones remain potent and feared.
